From the stands
to the sideline.
Eight weeks, a real room, and a clear path in. You won't just take in information — you'll do the work: figuring out who you are in this industry, where you want to be, and how to position yourself, get in, or move up. You'll walk out with a plan and at least one personal introduction into my network to help get you there.
Why I built this.
Three years ago I paid my own way into a Nike grassroots event just to watch. Bought my own ticket, sat in the stands, watched players I knew do their thing — with zero to do with what happened on that court. This summer I stood on that same sideline as part of the team making it go.
That gap is the whole story. I started by volunteering just to get in the gym. I paid my own way to coach at Steph Curry's camp — and two years later I was on the floor throwing him a thousand passes. I've worked NBA All-Star and the Draft Combine, and sat in NBA and WNBA front offices helping decide who's next. Nobody handed me a single one of those seats. I learned them — the relationships, the reps, the strategy, the thousand unglamorous details.
This cohort is me handing you what I had to learn the hard way — how to get into rooms nobody hands you, and how to move up once you're in. It's me making room for you. A small, serious room where you do the real work, get coached by me in real time, and build relationships that outlast the eight weeks.
What you walk out with.
Your positioning
A one-sentence answer to who you are in this industry and why an organization needs you — refined until it makes someone want to open a door or hire you.
A portfolio piece
Something you build and own. The thing that separates you from everyone else in the pile — not just a resume.
An access map
A concrete plan for getting into the room you're trying to reach. Real steps, real people, real timeline — no more guessing.
An introduction
At least one personal introduction into a network most people never reach, matched to what you actually want to do.
Eight weeks. Built to finish.
Teaching and presenting never share a week — the pace is deliberate. Live sessions where it counts, work weeks to build, and a team project that turns the cohort into a network.
Identity & Positioning
Who are you in this industry — right now? We close the gap most people never do: articulating your value so someone wants to open a door.
Build your positioning
No meeting. You get honest with yourself on paper and refine how you show up.
Positioning + peer feedback
You present. The group responds. Jerica coaches in real time. A diagnostic, not a performance.
Access & Entry
How the industry actually works — where the real doors are and how people get in without applying online. Drawn from inside Nike, the NBA, WNBA, and college basketball.
Build your Gap Audit
No meeting. You study an organization from the outside and find the gap only you can fill.
Brand & Visibility
How to be seen by the right people — attract opportunity instead of chasing it, and create something valuable enough that your target notices.
The Org Strategy Challenge
You'll be split into teams and build a real strategy recommendation for an actual sports organization — together.
Momentum & Next Move
Final presentations, your access map, and the network introductions. You leave with a plan and a door.
The introduction is the point.
Because I limit the room to twelve people, I can do something a big program can't: I'll personally introduce every participant to at least one person in my network who can actually help — matched to what you want to do. That part, I guarantee.
What comes after that isn't guaranteed. A co-sign from me on LinkedIn, a letter of recommendation, a feature on my podcast — those are earned, by how you show up and do the work.
Everyone gets a door. How far it opens is yours to earn — the more you put in, the more of the network opens up to you.
Who this is for.
I'm looking for serious people — the ones done dreaming about it and ready to do the work.
This is you if
- You know sports is your industry and you're ready to do the work
- You're a student, recent grad, or pivoting in from another field
- You're already in sports and want to move up or move within — like a coach eyeing a front-office seat
- You'll show up on camera, do the assignments, and push the room
This isn't for
- People looking for a webinar to half-watch
- Anyone who wants the network without doing the work
- "Just exploring" — this room moves, together, on a schedule
- Spectators
Every day, someone asks how I got here.
To pick my brain. To grab fifteen minutes. To make an introduction. I can't do that for everyone, one at a time — but my name carries weight in exactly the rooms you're trying to reach, and this cohort is how I put it to work for you.
More about me →The investment.
One price, one cohort, twelve seats. The founding rate exists once.

A real application that helps me get to know you and why you belong in this room, plus a 60–90 second video. This is the first filter.

I read every application myself and build a room of people who'll push each other.
We start Sept 9
Wednesdays at 4 PM PT, Sept 9 through Nov 4, with a full week off Oct 7.
Stop standing
outside the door.
Only twelve people get in, and I read every application myself. If sports is your industry and you're done watching from the stands — this is the one.
